White-Passing Exclusionary Racists (WPER). Much like how TERFs seek to integrate themselves into the hierarchy to oppress trans people by exploiting cis men's guilt, WPERs seek to integrate themselves into the hierarchy to oppress other POCs by exploiting white guilt. It is true that we should not accuse WPERs of Colorism any more than we should accuse TERFs of Feminism; much like how TERFs are just misogynists in disguise for they wish to erase the suffering of many women, WPERs are just white supremacists in disguise who wish to erase the suffering of many POCs.

Reducing race-based oppression to only skin tone at the expense of socio-political background is an essentialist argument, much like how reducing gender-based oppression to only genital is an essentialist argument. The further reduction of racial diversity to a binary of only blacks and white-passing, much like the reduction of sexes to only male and female, is a willful ignorance of facts and a war upon reality. Such simplicity and destruction of nuance will always favor fascists and other authoritarians.

Binary sex had long been a weapon of oppression for TERFs against trans people. All they need to do is categorizing their critics as either men and handmaidens of men, and suddenly their argument is beyond reproach. WPERs similarly weaponize the false binary to categorize their critics as either white or white-passing, and thus making themselves above criticism: anyone who dare to do so must be a bigot, the aggressor, and the oppressor, while they're always victims and anything they do are just acts of self-defense and retaliation.

This move comes directly out of the fascist playbook, where they fabricate an us vs. them mentality that encourages vicious attacks upon the "others" to protect a national identity that never was. People gladly sold out their neighbors and turned on their friends in service of this Greater Good, or in fear of retaliation from the authoritarian regime. They cultivate a culture of fear and silence so that anyone who stand up to them is beaten down not only by the corroborators of the tyrants, but also by people who fear the laws and the peers too much they'd rather sacrifice one of their own.

Clout economy is simply another form of Capitalism, one where intangible favors and invisible supports are exchanged instead of coins and bills. In some ways it is more insidious and evil, for while the robber barons go to great length to hide their wealth, the clout economy is fundamentally untraceable: just like racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry, it exists merely in the minds of people, and nowhere else. You can look up a person's credit record, but not their clout record; and any neurodivergent person who has difficulty with social cues is expected to play a game of bridge without seeing the stakes, the cards, and the other players.

It is richly ironic that people who fashion themselves as communists or even anarchists, who have John Brown or Che Guevara as their avis, who talk at length about the Heymarket maryrs and the sacrifice of Rosa Luxemburg, caved at the first sign of trouble and the first sight at the laws. Surely they'll make up all kinds of excuses for themselves, but at the end of the day what it says about them is that there's a limit to their rebellion and solidarity, and that limit makes Extinction Rebellion look like the October Revolution in comparison.

Just because something isn't a slur does not make it not bigotric. You can argue at length that "crazy" is not in itself ableist, but when you use it on someone with mental illness it more than definitely is, just like while "spook" is a perfectly innocent word in Britain, you should definitely not use it on a black person in America. Idiot, however, is another matter entirely; it implies low intelligence as an insult, except intelligence itself is a construct first devised by white supremacists to justify their enslavement of blacks and genocide of Natives, before it went on to become the favorite weapon of all bigots due to its "rational" nature.

An appeal to only take someone's words at face value is once again a reduction to simplicity and a destruction of nuance, where everything that is not explicitly stated in words is not acceptable in a discussion. Alas, if only human communication is that simple! We'd all be robots, sending queries based on strict formats, expressing and understanding nothing in the process. That is, of course, what many people want: for words to lose their meaning and become nothing but weapons.

It is apparent that a community is ran by neither rational nor moral principles when a part of it was quarantined for being led by a racist and a tankie, but another part of it enjoys prestige even if it's led by a transphobe and a WPER. This is not a double standard so much as it's a Matryoshka doll of standards: in your war against nuance and your quest for simplicity, you have managed to create layers upon layers of prejudice, where a person is judged not by their opinion, their words, or even who they are and who they befriend, but by what is convenient for you as a community to worship or discard.

There is nothing on social media but mods and their authority, celebrities and their lies, and the silenced and their misery. There is no way to act rightly, with a clear heart, on here. There is nothing you can do that clout does not enter into, and fear of cancellation, and the wish for approval. You cannot say good morning without knowing which of you is ‘superior’ to the other, or trying to prove it. You cannot act like a sister to other people, you must gaslight them, or troll them, or sealion them, or cancel them. You cannot touch another person, yet they will not leave you alone. There is no freedom. It is a box - a box, a package, with all the beautiful wrapping of leftism and decentralization and community and solidarity. And you open the box, and what is inside it? A black cellar full of dust, and a dead girl. A girl whose hand was shot off because she held it out to others. I have been in Hell at last. Sartre was right; it is other people; Hell is here.
