       @djsumdog @kaniini Maybe?  Either way, a 15 year old jabber client and an ejabberd instance is going to do the same thing, plus more, and have more flexibility.

       @djsumdog @BalooUriza there are native clients for mattermost, and it has a good mobile story.  i grow weary of watching people onboard and fail to understand how to work their XMPP client.

       @mngrif @kaniini the user ID problem has been more or less solved, the latter has notbut other than that: too much data usage for mobile, desktop clients all try to imitate skype’s horrible UI
