@mewmew @kro @moonman @rin Doesn't matter, shit shouldn't break this hard anyway. Pleroma is ass. Moonman's code didn't work, switching didn't work, nothing works. Maybe if people focused on fixing the software over adding mastodong features for "parity", I wouldn't be in this mess. But of course I don't matter, no instance owner matters, we're endless and they can just say "Just use another instance :^)" when we're fucked over. It's pathetic.

@kro @mewmew @dielan @kro @moonman @rin fwiw creating a user password link can be done with a mix task `MIX_ENV=prod mix pleroma.user reset_password <nickname>`Switching to develop is always a risk and returning will most probably not be possible if you already did ecto.migrate. One thing you can try that has worked for me when I had conflicts is to delete (or move to somewhere else) the _build folder so it will recompile pleroma completely. If you made a backup from before updating you can also try to put that back first, but I assume that if you have that you would've already done that. And to see logging (and maybe what's going wrong) you can do `MIX_ENV=prod mix phx.server` instead of systemctl restart pleroma. This will start the server in the session you're in and you'll get all the output in the terminal (to stop the server you can do ctrl+c twice. Also note that this will terminate the server when you exit the terminal, so once you have it working you can do ctrl+c twice and then `systemctl start pleroma`)

@kro @mewmew @kro @moonman you shouldn't switch to a development branch if you don't know how pleroma works nor are ready to troubleshoot it. also nice quotes nobody in pleroma development ever said

@rin @kro @mewmew @moonman Oh and another thing: Even when on stable branch, all I ever did was troubleshoot this garbage. People who "don't know how pleroma works" should also at least have the resources they need to do basic shit like reset a goddamn password. It's like you retards ignored the frameworks of what admins should be able to do at a UI level for over a year to fuck around with emoji and mastodong blocking and trigger warning features. it's pathetic.
