The thing this also highlighted for me is the argument that trans people don't want to use separate gender neutral toilets because they feel singled out, vulnerable to attack, blah blah blah, the usual excuses. But, this creep says "transphobes" (i.e. females who don't want him in their space) should use a separate facility. Should that toilet be labelled "Transphobes". And could that labelling gradually revert to "Women only".

@Somethings_Not_Right We can't do anything right with the bathroom thing- first it was allow all self ID trans people to use women's bathrooms, and when anyone suggested having gender neutral loos as well as designated women's, we were told that "third spaces" were transphobic and exclusionary. Then it was suddenly decided that any single sex bathrooms at all were transphobic and exclusionary to people who didn't "identify with gender labels" etc., so ONLY replacing everything with gender neutral bathrooms would do. Basically anything except women having their own bathrooms is okay.

"Anything but women having their own bathrooms" - spot on! I would use a "Transphobe" bathroom in the full confidence that it would very soon become the "Women's only" bathroom we once had, even if it might never again be labelled that. It seems all women's sex based rights these days come with the label "transphobia". @Nora

@DejaVu @Somethings_Not_Right That speaks for a lot of goals of this movement, I think. A friend (who wants to transition) pointed out that removing the necessity for a diagnosis of dysphoria to change legal sex, and declassifying dysphoria as a "medical illness" in an attempt to destigmatize it, would actually make it a hundred times more difficult for people to medically transition through the NHS, and to receive NHS counselling for dysphoria (which by all accounts is extremely distressing). In that light, Self ID looks like it benefits people without dysphoria the most.

That's right. Male Sexual Deviance is now being legislated as civil rights and pedophilia is being decriminalized and made an orientation.
