@sir I'm in Seattle, it's solid, though kinda pricey and city council is borderline incompetent.Used to live in Chicago. IMO one of the best cities in North America; worth looking into if the weather won't scare you off!

@kazuma @kick @sirwell my building just had a fire alarmthe concierge spent like an hour trying to pick up calls from the building manager and failingno one ever called 911 because they couldn't figure out how, and I was too busy watching the shitshoweventually someone pressed the "reset" button (the concierge failed for an hour) (if there was still danger the alarm would have just started up again)
