       @braveasanoun @DissidentKitty vaccines just cause people to be scared of dieseases. back in the day measles was just measles its nothing its not a big deal not like its typhus. now that thers a vaccine ppl are like OMG MEASESL WERE ALL GONA DIE, stupidity. ppl claim since not 100% of people are vaccinated then peopel who are vaccinated ares still at risk. must mean the vaccine doesnt work that well

       @DissidentKitty I constantly have to tell my students we have a measles outbreak about three towns over, and that is far worse than coronavirus (which is also a couple towns over coincidentally). But what do I know 🤷🏻‍♀️

       @Pizza @DissidentKitty The spreading factor (reproduction number, R0) for measles is ridiculous. ~15, compared to nCoV's ~2, just super contagious. Partly because it's airborne, not just hanging onto droplets. And nCoV is only ten times more fatal, which is even likely to be an inflated number due to underreported infections.Good thing everyone vaccinated themselves against measles, or it could be a terrible problem ...
