       The protestors behind Liane here look like they've been hired by a soft drinks company for a commercial. They could not look more vapid and insincere if they tried.It's such a weird cohort of people to be protesting #womenslib2020.

       It was a small and not very loud protest. They were chanting "Be Nice" and "Trans RIghts" as I got there at 9am. They were gone by the time my friend arrived a few hours later. No doubt they took their photos for the students union social media accounts and then once they felt that they had made their point went to get warm. I disagree with them but I respect peaceful protests. As a lifelong activist I have been on many over the years! @Lemondrizzle

       @machaI don't think anyone's challenging their right to protest, but we're within our rights to wonder what they think they're protesting.Personally I'm glad we seem to have moved from aggressive, intimidating protests to this. The contrast with the Seattle protest is stark.

       I agree that it was good this was peaceful protest and not the aggressive and even violent behaviour that has happened at other feminist events.I honestly believe that many there did not really know what they were protesting so good luck trying to work it out! 😂 @Lemondrizzle

       And their chant - as we walked in at 9am - was "Trans rights - Be nice." As if we can fight against oppression by being nice!! And is if the violence towards women which many TRAs exhibit is the standard for "nice." @Lemondrizzle
