I know it's been an issue for a while but why the fuck has the rad fem movement become such a safe haven for blatant misogyny and racism? Like I don't wanna be on the opposite side of a shitty coin from libfems. Why aren't we calling out racist or misogynistic comments and beliefs when they occur? Why is it so widely accepted that white women get to shit on women of color with no one saying WHAT THE FUCK? Why is it acceptable for people to shit on both gender nonconforming female people or conforming female people (depending on the group you're in)? Why is radical feminism in some online spaces starting to look like a safe space to shit on one group of female people or another? We ought to be uplifting one another and backing each other up against male people and the patriarchy not tearing each other down for not fitting someone's ideal image of what a feminist looks like. I have been trying to figure out an appropriate way to approach this issue without coming off as too libfem or whatever but like... all I got is WHAT THE FUCK. I'm seeing slurs from other white women slung at women of color. I'm seeing other white women actively speaking over WOC about racism. I'm seeing self proclaimed white radfems shit on other ethnicities. WHAT THE FUCK. I'm seeing so called rad fems who are gender conforming shit on nonconforming women or insulting other female people who are just straight up caught in liberal feminism who are desperately trying to work their way out. I'm see GNC female people shit on conforming female people for not presenting feminist enough because they wear makeup? The fuck kind of racist, internalized misogyny is this shit? If you have beef with a single female person that's personal, fine. Don't take it out on all these female people who we allegedly are so supposed to be fighting with and for. Why is it a contest? Well I've seen fellow white radfems use slurs towards WOC. I've seen them wish openly an ethnic cleansing on a certain demographic of Asians. I've seen them put down women of color by saying they aren't doing enough. I've seen them openly speak over women of color on the subject of racism. For starters. @Vmpds

Not going to lie, I have been disheartened by the behavior of self proclaimed radfems before. But you know that, it's just that... white people are socialized racist. Having realized some truths about gender or about men and overcoming female socialization does not mean having overcome... what'd call "white socialization", or "straight socialization" meaning the default racist or homophobic beliefs instilled by society. It is what it is. There's no group of white people free of racism. There's no group of straight people free of homophobia. There's no group of people at all without misogyny, this most pervasive evil foundation of society...I'm rambling. Well hello, @MissScarlett. I try to be as unfeminine as possible (for safety and security purposes) but I have a tendency toward feminine behaviours which have caused anger from radfems on many occasions. Their racism and anger toward men results in a lot of anger toward heterosexual women and non-white women. This phenomenon has a long history in their movement. This ill-will (hatred of men and unconscious (racial) bias) remain unexamined all these decades later so the radfems just keep replicating the man-hate and racism of previous iterations of their group. Some, still lament the lack of progress of their group. They really can't understand why their movement isn't moving forward. Lol @Orgasmic_Villainess

I'm actually pretty wary of males and all but like 3 I have a lukewarm attitude towards or less. I'm not the biggest fan of males in general. But I wish there was more empathy based on being female if nothing else. And that's all I've got to say. We can preach that feminism all day long but we shouldn't micromanage other female people on how they present or their sexuality. Spaces for sapphics and GNC women are super important because we don't have certain privileges in society for those things. But micromanaging others is like... that ain't it. I don't fucking blame you. I've been in some awesome radfem circles within the past year and then others that start awesome but end up going in a gross direction because white women don't make room for or examine racism and how patriarchy looks different and more abusive towards black women. I'm a white woman. I'm far from perfect. But a little research and empathy in discussions have gone a long way for me. Most Liberal Facebook feminists see racism but only for the woque points and lane collection. They like those heart reacts. They like looking good and virtuous.Lots of radfem circles either straight up don't examine it or examine it when they need a pawn example for their internet arguments against libfems. And then you have the people who claim radical feminism but aren't. And these folks misinterpret radical feminism for an excuse to express their bigotry because they dislike the triggered culture.
