So ROMNEY wants to hear from Bolton.Hold fire on Mittens for the moment. This HELPS Trump.Remember, Trump iwants a full Senate trial with witnesses. Bolton opens the door to ALL witnesses. That's why the Dems won't call him. They're also unsure if Bolton is on their side (he's not).Romney is a perfect foil & lure as he has been anti-Trump in the past. If Romney wants to damage Trump, his career is ruined. But by helping Trump, the past may be forgotten.https://www.foxnews.com/politics/romney-collins-say-bolton-claims-strengthen-case-for-witnesses-in-impeachment-trial

@redwhitebluedude @REX These senators in effect are acting as Judas Goats. I don't think they mean to, but it doesn't matter. I learned that from QV big guy.

@redwhitebluedude The bait will be too strong for the Dems, who probably think that Bolton will testify in their favor. They DESPERATELY need Bolton. So my guess is that they'll agree to witnesses and then do everything they can to delay, cover up, obstruct to minimize any damage.Remember however that Trump will have all their plans gamed out. He controls the momentum of everything we are seeing. Trump doesn't engage in battle unless he knows he has already won.

Assuming Bolton is a friendly, NOTE that all the pressure is going one way - it is being heaped on the Dems. The Dems MUST call Bolton as a witness. To now, they have resisted. If they don't, their base will be infuriated because they are certain 'we got The Drumpf now!'. The base would consider a failure to call Bolton as unforgivable. Many would not vote in November. They don't realize that Bolton likely won't help the Dems. And that he opens the door to the Bidens. And Obama.

@REX Romney is self-interested only. He's perfectly manipulatable because of that. Collins is a wishy-washy idiot, and follows the prevailing wind. The fact that they are responding to an incendiary NYT article is the best indicator of their stupidity. An article which will be proven to be blatantly false, misleading or contrived in the next 48 hours. Fudge rule, amiright? I want them both primaried and exiled. No more RINOs

@REX @ThomasWic @Debradelai @drawandstrike does anyone know how long executive privileges last after a president has left office? won't Biden and Obama try to invoke executive privilege? can they do it ? Barry's personal records are still sealed.

@REX I agree with your assessment as to why Bolton should be called as a witness. But didn’t Bondi’s presentation yesterday open the door to investigating both Bidens‘ & Obama’s involvement with Burisma? Her evidence is hard to ignore. (Even though network news silenced her).

@REX I'm not worried about Bolton's testimony, but I don't think there should be any more witnesses. Yesterday we heard very good arguments on why the 2 articles are not constitutional - whether the allegations are true or not. If it does not matter whether the allegations are true or not - why are we continuing down the path of figuring out if they are true or not? Time to vote to dismiss IMO.I know we want revenge for this farce, but doing it in the impeachment process corrupts the process.

@Dogstar_K9 @REX Here is an article on it. The Constitution makes no provision for former Presidents. It vests them with no powers, titles, or role whatsoever; it does not even provide them a pension.2 The founding generation vigorously opposed entrenched power and sought through the Constitution to make clear the President was not a king. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/228222942_Former_Presidents_and_Executive_Privilege
