Heya there Quods, had a great Australia Day here yesterday. Took a drive with the Bride to a local dam. Recent heavy rains here have greened everything up, made the creeks swell and brought out the natives.

@Davel495 Happy Australia Day!I got swept away at a crossing like that in Idaho. The 6-8" of water floated the tires of the 3 wheeler I was on and off down the snow melt filled creek I went.Glad you had a good holiday!

@EarlThePearls Rained heavy again last night Earl and that crossing this morning is 5ft under. Only 8 inches when I went through yesterday. Dad with his emu chicks was an absolute bonus.

@Davel495 I had a creek behind me until recently. Was dry most of the time, but when the rains came it would rise up 5-10'. Always fun to see how far out of the banks it would get.You need the rain. Hope it helps with the fire situation and greens things up a bit

@KenLarkin Thanks Ken.Going to take the storm covers off the mine tomorrow mate. I've probably got a quarter of a ton sitting waiting to be brought up for processing at the moment. And I need the Bride to load the hopper down below while I operate the machinery up top. At the moment she is working on a commission of a dog for a birthday gift for a friend's mother. I'll have to get some progress shots and post.

@KenLarkin We do have to insulate and line her studio, but that probably won't be till some time in April or May. We have had aircon installed so she can escape in there on the hottest of days. She has done a good few puppy portraits for people (paid commissions) and has never gotten a bad review. Most are dogs that have travelled on to the Rainbow Bridge and those people burst into tears.
