@REX I was a huge REM fan in my youth. Attended dozens of shows. While the band and Stipe were always subversively political, at some point they became insufferable liberals, openly campaigning for liberal candidates at concerts. His fawning over Obama in particular was embarrassing. Stipe’s picture appears in the dictionary under the “Limousine Liberal” heading.

@dannodo Me too. That's what makes me so pissed.Pilgrimage, Document , Life's Rich Pageant were all amazing albums.Back then the guys were in their early 20s, has no $ and were focussed on what they were good at.Now they're old, rich, decadent : the very people they used to detest.Ditto, Bono.
