@SpiceOfOurLife For normal citizens not aware and only getting news from the MSM... many connect Saudi Arabia to 9-11. They are not informed that when King Salman and his gifted son took over relatively recently 2015 in SA, they were cut from a different cloth than their family line that had previously ruled the country. A very very different, uplifting cloth. I think they are good people, and Trump trusts them and they trust Trump. They have 40 years of Wahhabism culture to overcome.

@SpiceOfOurLife You and I are familiar with the elderly King Salman's genius son, MBS - Mohammed bin Salman. He is now in mid 30s and approaching his prime in the ME culture. Has been at his Dad's side all through his growing up, because the current King Salman recognized a giant in his offspring. MBS is intelligent as a whip, can go toe to toe with Trump, pragmatic, patient, strategic, wordly, modern, and loves Saudi Arabia. He is not a guru... but he has SA. He knows he has to do gradual.

In May 2017, POTUS Trump decisively made his FIRST foreign state visit to Saudi Arabia (trust his judgement). The former president received cold welcomes in SA, and when he was received there, no party, no feting, but lots of photos of him deferentially BOWING to the SA royalty. In contrast, May 2017, POTUS and FLOTUS met with fanfare, and sword dancing, and the GCC conference.

I knew it would later be likely throttled by MSM. In the aftermath of the visit, the most widely shown MSM photo was an (intentionally shot and presented) awkward photo of POTUS Trump, SA King Salman, and Egypt's President El-Sisi positioned over a glowing orb.
