       @piggo The images are supposed to link to the website they're from.Of course that is less than useful if that website is "tumblr dashboard"...I think the original idea was visual bookmarks, with the images being products, or photos of food as shown on recipe pages.

       @Anke @piggo I think Pinterest is good for its original purpose of letting folks quickly pin ideas. The complaint comes from the fact that they've completely poisoned the search engines, and now their business model, if there is one, boils down to continuing to break Google et al

       @phooky @Anke i know mom uses it to search knitting patterns or some stuff like that, but i cant fathom how you'd even, like,, use it. i made an account once to get past the pop-up, and it didnt make it any more usable
