       @selea  The wife and I ended up staying up for it, but there wasn't any fanfare as planned. Not sure if the pizza we ate was bad or she came down with a stomach bug, it was enough to keep her up well past her bedtime. Me: not unusual to be in bed after midnight, so no diff. We've long since realized the new year comes whether we acknowledge it or not, so the zzzzzzz are pretty much preferred over waiting for it.
