       If I gave up YouTube, I wouldn't need to install codecs. In fact, I wouldn't even need sound, since YouTube is also my music service. I wonder if I should make that a goal. Seems difficult though.

       @ataraxia937 @jwkicklighter With Android I use Newpipe from Fdroid. You can even download audio/music only from a video.

       @ataraxia937 Then how about Radiodroid? About 40000 Internet Radio Stations.If you have a Raspberry, you can use threadripper and record your favorite station. You then quickly have a nice big collection of music for offline use.

       @ataraxia937 When you use Radiodroid, start by looking at tags. Else, you won't find much. For example, to make Chrismas louder, you could have looked under "Christian Heavy Metal" :)If you find a station, immediately mark it as favorite, so you don't need to search again. Get it at Fdroid.
