The visceral pain of losing my daughter to the tranz cult this year has really got to me today. I've had a bad headache since a conversation with my husband last night about Christmas arrangements. Still no cards posted. Still have Mum to look after and the family business. Thank all the gods for this channel where I can be open about the situation, and to www.parentsofrogdkids.com, and @OurDutyGrp on Twitter. They will get a channel here soon. @glinnerismyhero Looking back, it's probably through the state education system making it all valid, secondary school in East Sussex, foundation in Kent, us not having enough knowledge about online life, then finally sharing a house with several tranz from her course in a Leicester university. That's where it snowballed from full-time exposure. She's ADHD. The rest of them are all pretty naive too. I remember thinking myself way back it was ok to have sex from 16 because it was legal - I can imagine her thinking similar about signing up for gender reassignment that it might help her social anxieties. I only had a permanently broken heart from having few relationship boundaries, but she won't be able to easily recover physically and mentally from the meds and surgeries that NHS or private will do to her. Thanks for asking. Stories from other parents I know are similar. Basically we didn't have a clue till it happened.

@Glinner Thank you, the relief in knowing we aren't alone is enormous. If anyone asks you please let them know there are scores of parents with trans kids who are in touch with each other who are appalled by the mermaids line, we are coalescing around several groups, but as we are all emotionally battered it's taking a bit of time to organise ourselves. Perhaps having such a moniker led people to think that @rtfm would be more open to banter. That would explain why our guys were so much meaner than they usually are. It wouldn't explain why rtfm is such a limp wristed faggot.
