@Elaines2cents I had irregular heartbeat until I started taking psychotropic medications.Irregular heartbeat is the leading cause of cardiac arrest.The summer I was 16, I was under a lot of stress, and I arrested in my bed at night. Had a classic near-death experience (NDE).Flew up out of the bed, through the roof, and into the night sky. I could feel the cool air.Then I went into a tunnel in the sky and accelerated to incredible speed.

@Elaines2cents I live in my neighbor Nellie's house. She died at the age of 96, having been a widow for over 50 years.She was very afraid of death. About a week before she died, she kept saying, "Who's singing?" and "I don't know what I'm going to do."She died in what's now my bedroom. I was outside in her garden, and I heard an old woman's voice laughing with excitement.The laughter faded into the sky.

@Elaines2cents I had a cat named Syd the Second. He was absolutely identical to Syd, who died fifteen years earlier.Syd the Second was a feral who showed up one day. He hated all humans--except for me, my brother and our mother.When we opened the front door, he sauntered in, jumped up on the sofa, and took a nap.Ferals don't do things like that.

He had feline leukemia when he came to us.Since he was an outside cat, I always said goodnight to him by calling, "Where's the kitty?" and he'd answer with his high-pitched, breathy meow.He died in the afternoon, and that night I went out and called, "Where's the kitty?"I clearly heard his high-pitched, breathy meow.

@Elaines2cents Both of my parents visited after they died.An hour after my father's death, the house filled with the scent of Old Spice, and I felt someone standing behind my right shoulder.A few weeks after my mother died, the house filled with the scent of roses, and we found this.It appeared out of thin air. My mother made toys from clothespins. This is her handiwork.

@Elaines2cents I could go on and on.The best friend I ever had was a guy named Steiv. We were in a band together in Tokyo.I was always a solitary person, but Steiv approached me the day he was hired by our company. He asked me out for a beer, and by the end of the night we were best friends.

@ThomasWic @Elaines2cents I had nearly the identical thing happen to me. It was the most vivid and clear thing in my existence to date. When I returned, it wasn't violent but some entity kept saying "There has been a mistake". At that point I wasn't wild on returning because of this total realization of everything in existence. I somehow knew I would lose it and as you say I don't remember what it was but I remember understanding it was wonderful what I went through. Death is no longer feared.

@Elaines2cents He was one of two people I've known in my life who totally accepted me the way I am.When I left Japan, he stayed behind.Years later, I learned that he'd died of an asthma attack in 1997.It sent me into a spiral of the worst depression I've ever felt. His asthma attacks were terrible. I knew he'd died alone and afraid.

On the other side of the wall was a foggy field covered with fallen leaves.Red, yellow, and orange.Steiv and I wore long coats. I told him how terrible I felt about his death.When he was a live, he enjoyed listening to me. He always had a small smile, and he'd look into the distance.He did that in the dream.

Thank you for validating so much that I had about written off as something being made up in my mind to accept my Mom, and then 2 years later, my husband's death. Mom had Altz. (sp) and she grabbed my arm, started smiling and kept asking, "Isn't it beautiful? listen to the music and the flowers! Oh look, there is.."and started naming relatives that had passed.My husband was talking, then slowly raised his foot like he was taking a step.

@ ThomasWic @Elaines2cents I talked this over with a good friend who was also my surgeon when this happened. He thought this total recognition of everything that ever was, and is or will be, could be the simultaneous firing of every synapses in your brain as a final attempt by the body to snap it back to life. I dont know either way. But it was an amazing and wonderful experience.

@RonOgletree @Elaines2cents That's correct.I've had several epiphanies in my life, and one is that our brain is a reducer valve.While here, we need to do temporal things, such as shopping and working.Those would be impossible if we had the perceptions that we have on the other side.Our reducer-valve brain prevents us from comprehending a realm with no time, for example. They really do communicate with their loved ones before they die. My dear friend helped her father pass recently, and she said all these things happened to him. It's about 30 minutes long. @Tatonka @ThomasWic @Elaines2cents When you finish watching, read the youtube comments. Others really do experience this. My friend lost her mom 10 years ago, and she was now taking care of her dad. Her mom LOVED bunnies. A few days before he passed, a bunny showed up in the back yard and wouldn't leave until after he passed. My friend and her sister were SURE it was representing their mom. Her dad also saw his own mother a few days before he died, and would talk with friends they couldn't see.

@ThomasWic @Elaines2cents Sometime around the winter of '65 I had such an occurrence. We were living in Bouron-Marlotte France just outside Fontainebleau. I shared a bunk bed with my younger brother who was in the upper bunk.It wasn't to the detail you explained but I was awakened by the sensation I was floating in mid air and rising and moving towards the window. It scared me and as quickly as it started, it ended with that crashing down as you described.

I just think I sleep so soundly that I don't recall dreams at all.I usually fall asleep thinking of some sort of engineering design block that is balking at a solution and then all of a sudden I'll wake up around 2:30 to 3 AM with a solution.I keep a voice recorder at th bed. Pick it up, babble something and then go back to sleep.Funniest damned thing in the world is to listen to those recordings.

Based on deaths of her oldest brother & both parents, she strongly believes our loved ones come for us. One point though I am struggling with - life force is energy but all energy must stay within the closed system in our case the universe. @ThomasWic @Elaines2cents A good friend of mine "J" lost his older brother when he was young. His bro was 19 and he was 14. big bro fell off of a balcony and was killed. The family was devastated. 10 years later J meets and marries. His wife has never met his bro, they met as adults. One night J and his wife are in bed and she says, "your brother is here" He wants you to know he is alright. Proceeds to tell J what he is wearing. board shorts and a t shirt, what he was buried in. She was calm.

@ThomasWic @Elaines2cents The only part, I should say the worst part about the death of those close, is that they move on to that next room leaving us to miss them.They're fine, I know that, and I'm glad they are truly in a better place.But we aren't....until we are. We wait. We grieve. We eventually move on with life, and then it's our turn. So, is it better to grieve, or be grieved for? I don't think there is an answer for that.

She had a bunch of mini-strokes that left her half here and half moved on.She talked with her father when lying in the ER, before she was moved to her room. The next night she had a massive stroke in the middle of the night. She lingered for 10 days, then died early in the morning.I agree that most, if not all of us, see our relatives as we die.

@ThomasWic @Tatonka @Elaines2cents My grandfather (born 1886) was a Polish immigrant. He worked hard and started a family business in 1937 that my oldest brother sold in 2014. Around the time I was born in 1965 and till his death in 1974, he suffered many strokes and was bed ridden. His passing was due to another matter. According to my Dad and just as he passed, he sat up in his hospital bed smiling looking up..breaking several bones in that action.

@ThomasWic @Elaines2cents I’ve been with loved ones when they died. I saw the spirit of one person leave his body. That was comforting& I was awestruck. After my father died I was staying at my parents home. I got up in the night & passed his bedroom. There he was sitting at his desk. He startled me. I was glad to see him even tho it was unsettling to be confronted w/the afterlife. There are many realms. There are many mysteries and unknowns. On a good day I’m not afraid of death.

Yet my research and reflections have led me to the conclusion our bodies will be powered or sustained by a form of light. He was studying marine biology and loved the water. in the raft with him was the family dog who, PASSED 5 years after J's older brother. He told J's wife again to let him know he was good and to move on.. the fact his dog was with him, and the dog left us 5 years later... as a dog person.. THE RAINBOW BRIDGE IS REAL !!!!!

@ThomasWic I had left her the day before because she was feeling better, her Dad had come to visit with her and her daughter was there. I was only going to be gone 1 day to help my son. I thought she'd be safe and I'd be back before any of the family had to leave her. Her daughter called me crying and scared. I was in San Jose and needed to get to her in Marin, during rush hour. I cried the entire way.

@ThomasWic She passed before I could get to her. I made hospice wait until I got there to call the coroner. In talking with the hospice group, they said her death wasn't unusual. They've seen it before. They believe it's a chemical reaction within the body prior to death. I'd never heard of it before or since she passed.

@ThomasWic Lori has come to me in the form of a hummingbird on several important events and every one of importance that has included her daughter but I've never gotten then feeling that she is 'fine' just that she's aware of what is happening.My Dad is going to pass within the next year to 2 years. Being a Daddy's girl, it's going to devastate me. I just pray that his passing will change the way I feel about death.

One day while I was there she opened it and was smelling and inhaling through her nostrils. I said.. What is that? Rose oil she said, try it! It’s very calming she said. She handed it to be and I sniffed. Strong I said. A few days later no one was in the kitchen. I opened the bottle and smelled it the way she did. It was delicious. Calming and beautiful.

@Jaime @hejoural @Baline @ThomasWic I moved into a townhouse years ago that had previously been owned by a senior, I assume a woman because the carpeting, paint and tile were a powder blue color. A few weeks after I moved in, I'd wake in the middle of the night and smell roses. I'd already had the carpeting replaced and repainted the townhouse so I knew it couldn't be something leftover from the previous owner.I lived there for 3 years and that smell during the night never left the house.

@EarlThePearls @brianem @ThomasWic Hispanics do it here in CA. Loud music, kids running across the graves. A damn party going on while people are trying to grieve their loved ones. I'm going to have my body shipped to the hollars of Ohio in an ancient family graveyard. I want peace and quiet.

@wziminer @ThomasWic @Tatonka @Elaines2cents Just finished watching. Felt sad😢 but also comfort. I’m looking forward to T.W. Thread. In this video the dying are able to clearly express themselves. My Sister can not. She did have a miscarriage that was Heartbreaking for her. It could be why she loves her baby doll so much.
