Transgender ideology is at its most insidious in our schools and universities. It's impossible to express gender critical views in class without becoming a pariah (particularly as there's usually at least one TiM in each course)

@Charganium I've been out of college for 15 years now (studied, among other things, sociology). Back then "some go as far as to claim biological sex doesn't exist" was treated as an interesting bit of obscure data - and look at us now.

@Hiraeth Absolutely. I took sex ed just six years ago and transgenderism wasn't even mentioned—and now I'm expected to bend over backwards because they're "oppressed." Funny how males can identify into oppression but I can't identify out of it.

@Charganium I'm lucky enough to live in a place where this madness hasn't gone far yet. We have a few old school transsexuals (and they're actually really cool), but any mention of the new gender world results in people cracking jokes. So far so good. Trouble is, if this spreads in England, and Canada, and the US, and more, it will reach us too (and since I've become vigilant about this topic, I've noticed the attempts to hijack the language and the narrative).

@Hiraeth Sending best wishes your way. It's important to recognize that we do not hate transsexuals—as long as they recognize that they're men who suffer from a mental illness and don't infringe upon women's spaces, safety, and comfort.
