       going around the uber system and venmoing people directly to drive you takes away the security of tracking that cannot be turned off and puts people (especially women) in direct and immediate danger stop fucking telling people to do this its so not a good idea.

       @Torie Uber and Lyft have a distinct incentive to make riders and drivers safe to whatever extent they can. No matter how shitty they are, that's something you lose going around them

       @Torie Didn't taxi services already have stricter vetting? I never really understood the appeal/advantage of Uber, so I may not understand what I'm talking about.
