I knew a woman nearly 30 years younger than me who said that, when traveller children arrived in her school, one of her teachers would insult them, roar at them, hit them, exclude them ... She knew she was right, too. And society did not protect those children either.

I live in my OWN country and our children aren't protected. In fact, 3 babies EVERY WEEK are kidnapped by the state. Brown babies, of course. It is extremely soul destroying. I’ll be honest. Part of the reason I live away is it’s so hard to live on your own land and see it, people abused my mother in the street ffs a man at her work mouthed off about kids celebrating Māori language week.
