       the point is that criticizing people and assuming the worst about them because they choose to do things you do not have the "spoons" to do, like provide an alternative to alt-right people for friendship is the problem here.  if you don't want to interact with someone, that's your business, but stop calling the people who do intervene various ad hominem insults.  simple as that.

       I for one would much rather make the investment in people who are being isolated, and frankly, bullied by the performative left.  most people get sucked into alt-right nonsense because they have been bullied and isolated.  to defeat the alt-right, befriending their recruitment targets is an important part of the strategy.

       @kaniini *Thank you*.  One too many times I've gotten called various shades of Literally Hitler for daring to associate with people who some might find problematic.  Regardless of whether I approve of what they do (in most cases, I don't), just being there is often the first step to sorely needed deradicalization and self-reflection, and being genuinely open on a network that's not used to that kind of thing can have positive ripple effects for all involved.(at least, I think that's what you're referring to)
