@hj oh don't worry, it's hefty. bottom plate weighs like 10-15kg alone. Also it comes with a table mount but I'm not a huge fan of drilling through a table to attach it. A clamp won't do it for this monster

@rexmortus Describe? As in specs? My desktop is powered by a Ryzen 5 1600 and RX 580 with 16GB of RAM. The monitors are 3x 24" AOC G2590FX 1080p 144Hz monitors, plus a 27" Acer K1 1080p monitor on the top.Audio is a Pro-ject Head Box DS with Sennheiser HD599 or HD650. I also have a set of Razer Nommo speakers plugged in to the line out so I have speakers that I use most of the time.Keyboard is a Magicforce 68, Mouse is a Steelseries Sensei 310. Mousepad is a Razer something.I've also got a Blue Snowball mounted on an arm.

@pony I'd need more space before I'd be able to get that kind of bed in here.At the same time, I'm the kind of person who sleeps completely still. I absolutely never turn around or anything overnight. I always wake up in the exact position I fell asleep

@pony I'd probably have a cat if my apartment allowed me.On the other hand, based off our previous cats, they'd just sleep on my face regardless, so a larger bed wouldn't matter

@rexmortus They're just cheap $100-ish monitors. About the cheapest 144Hz stuff you can get, along with some stand imported from china. Works well but it's nowhere near as expensive as it looks.

@rexmortus I bought this off a Norwegian store: https://www.komplett.no/product/836099/datautstyr/skjermer/bord-og-veggfeste/iiglo-skjermfeste-ms410But iiglo is a store brand that just imports chinese stuff in bulk and slaps their logo on the packaging. So you can probably find it if you scour Aliexpress/Amazon/Alibaba long enough.

@fristi @kyrahabattoir The Ethernet on the back here is Cat 5e.Also Cat 7 cables are only partially standardized afaik. Most manufacturers only agree up to Cat 6a or something.Unless thick ass DP cables are also called Cat 7. Store only has DP cables in either 1.2m or 5m too, which doesn't help

@quad @kyrahabattoir I once needed to help some bloke lay network wires through their huge mansion, aside from the internal piping being shit an the electrical closets giving people OCD spazms, this guy absolutely demanded I used cat7. Not sure why because you could get all the protective measures with cat6a, which is notably easier to work with. So imagine me, trying to pull thick stiff cat7 cables through small af piping that makes hard 90 degree bends everywhere. (I failed to lay about two thirds of the stuff he wanted because of that shit.) Then there's also the shit that you need special rj45 jacks for cat7 because cat7 has thicker wires that don't fit into a regular rj45 jack, and your crimp tool also needs to be compatible with that (mine wasn't so I had to buy an expensive one that was).

@quad @kyrahabattoir the problem I have with cat7 is that I just don't see the use. Cat6a is already good enough regarding speed, and for anything up you'd want fiber optic cables anyway.
