#FaithOfTheAtheistQ: If the universe is only 6000 years old, how can we see stars farther away than 6000 light years?A: Unobservable #God, who has revealed His nature to us through his Word the #Bible, created the universe to function in ways we don't fully understand yet.Q: If the #universe is only 13.8 Billion years old, how can we see stars 46 Billion light years away?A: Unobservable #DarkMatter does it, the nature of which is unknowable by any current instrumentation.

@vrsmdThe former can be better explained than that. Dr. Russel Humphreys' Starlight and Time is an amazing read on the subject.

@masterofthetiger Yes, that is correct! I personally know of three plausible theories that do not contradict the evidence, unlike the theories of the atheists. But I didn't want to show them up too bad...

@vrsmdWell, some of the theories I have heard of have massive holes (mentioned in an appendix in Starlight and Time). Including the "aged creation"/"in transit" theory. The light speed decay theory has major flaws in that all the evidence that has been brought forth has been invalidated.Dr. Humphreys' book is a bit weird, but it brings it back to the Bible, and stretches the limits about what we know about relativity and physics.
