@arcans does she really? If so, that makes me less supportive of her. The regurgitation of #ClimateChange "skeptic" talking points is mostly panic that hasn't yet consciously registered. Panic makes people do selfish, short-sighted things, not think carefully about causes and effects and organize large-scale collective system change.

@strypey Well, iirc that quote was from when she talked at a few conferences where politics all around where talking about giving hope to future generations, then sat back in their chair and voted on doing nothing. I understand it more like a “Stop talking about hope, and start acting because it is already too fucking late.”I do get your point though, and how it can sounds like it when taken out of the context I heard it

@arcans OK, that makes sense, but "I don’t want you to be hopeful, I want you to do something” may have been a clearer way to communicate that ;)
