I'm really looking forward to a Valve VR game. VR really needs some big-hitters and I think the folks who put on the Half Life series can do it.

@leer10 I really don’t think consumer-facing VR will ever take off. Samsung failed, HTC failed, Google failed twice. Besides, I don’t think most people are gonna spend $400 on a headset when there’s only a few games available

@neonspire games are an issue now but we're solving that with high-quality full-length things like Asgard's Wrath and HL: Alyx

@leer10 I’m just don’t know if game devs are gonna bother making many more games for a platform with such a small user base

@neonspire Gabe Newell and John Carmack (and sadly I have to mention the Zucc) see a great opportunity for VR, so they're actively changing the field. They're fixing the chicken and egg problem by throwing a lot of game eggs into the mix and they're hoping it encourages more players and thus getting major studios to make games.

@leer10 Once the price of headsets comes down a little (I still think the oculus go is kinda expensive for widespread adoption) maybe there’ll be more widespread adoption but i think it’ll definitely take a while
