I'm a bit surprised an international journalist just came out, exposing media issues 99% of this forum would agree with, but getting thrown under the bus.I'm no historical expert on Lara Logan. There is some truth being said, but I'm not seeing much benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's tough to do that in Toots. I'm open for someone setting me straight.

Strongest argument for me first. Plastic surgery......In her interview, she did a face-plant in Afghanistan dirt (or Iraq?) after an IED blew a Hummer in the air. Ok, I can see where some surgery is done. She mentions feeling her scalp was being pulled off in Egypt.....well, I can understand why she might get some cosmetic surgery.I'm not trying to be a white knight here, but offer some balance.

My concern centers on ideas thrown into the public space, not plastic surgery and wardrobe.

Right now, the "leading international correspondent" has this painting in her dining room. It doesn't make me feel comfy. At all.

@Kathleen @WildCard That painting is not as abstract as that pile of excrement thinks it is. She probably knows we see it but doesn't care. As far as I'm concerned, she is a foreign agent.

@Kathleen @WildCard This I know but you'll have to excuse my jadedness when it comes to anything appreciated by that cretinous pile of excrement.

@Kathleen Art isn't art for the sake of who made it or their country of origin. I would have a general distaste for any artist rendering that painting as it looks like what you know it looks like which glorifies death to America. I happen to remember that day and the massive amount of innocent death from it. Anyone who is happy it happened can go straight to hell.Jackson Pollock sucked because he sucked.

@Kathleen @Ms_Kux I'm not in on the conspiracy stuff.I can understand someone that paid (whatever) for a painting that turned prophetic, and keeps it on the wall.Of course it would have ruined our family's Thanksgiving dinner.....at least without context.

@Kathleen Assuming you mean Iran. Yes.A beautiful people. I wish them all the best. It's the politicians holding them down. I'll share a video I saw a few years ago. Trio of guys riding motorcycles through Iran, among other countries. Kind of long. But if you don't have time, the hospitality was evident. Truckers passing oranges to these guys riding bikes, and such.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2LEgowbzSc
