       In France this theory is mostly used by capitalists to fight the left when we try to make laws againts the very rich and radical envirnmental laws. they would always say something like "the far left and far right are the same"but they are not.just an easy way to make everything the left is fighting for dangerous and leading to fascism.@alex

       @alex Interestingly in the UK the politics have shifted so far to the right that those traditionally moderate left who stood their ground are looking now like far left. Ie Corbyn. The media are also exclusively on the right which means headlines about moderate policies are being screamed as if they are communist! The far right BNP have practically disappeared electorally because their voters have been absorbed by the Conservative & brexit party (essentially the same thing). Centrist parties have become conservative (in the old style). So there is no real "left socialist" parties in the UK anymore. It'll take a very long time to reorient UK politics back, if it ever does, away from far right ideology.
