@Kathleen they all muster up down here in sept.-oct. then one day a cool front (north wind) strong enough to their liking comes along and 95% are gone overnightfor their nonstop flight across the gulf to the yucatan. thats why they are so thick in the video i tooted. they are doing their damndest to fatten up amap pre-flight. they lose their inhibitions to the point of landing on your finger. the nectar means that much. conversely, when they return in March they are pencil thin.
