       @Kathleen Ten years ago the lady at the post office told me Nokomis was the mother of Hiawatha after I inquired about the town's name. Other than knowing they were Northern Indians, that was the extent of my knowledge regarding Hiawatha. Now I know that was incorrect. I even had the gender wrong!!!Until today I was oblivious to Longfellow's Song of Hiawatha.Thanks for the education, Kat!

       @WiseNana @Kathleen I did not.Keep in mind I'm a Floridian and I also attended mostly private Christian schools.I knew of the Longfellow poem, I simply never had the opportunity or inclination to read it.
