@pyromage @Ste1lar I think this is what you're talking about. You input your old account alias and then something happens. But I'm not sure if this works federating or if it only applies for whatever instance you're on. Also I don't know if it synchronizes your old messages or not, my bet is that it only synchronizes your public information, lists, blocks, followers, etc.imagen.png

@Ste1lar @absturztaube @pyromage I had the same issue myself. I ended up having to manually notify everyone that I was relocating and tried my hardest to get everyone that followed me on one place to do so on another. It was well worth the time patience to follow through with. Other than that, you got plenty of time to migrate. Niu doesn't shut down until ~4 months from now.

@Ste1lar @pyromage @absturztaube that's unfortunately not possible (neither on pleroma nor mastodon). you can set your account in a "moved" state tho. everyone who visits your profile gets notified that you moved to a different account and that they should follow that one instead. maybe post a status that you moved accounts as well. that's the most you can do afaik

@proxeus @pyromage @Ste1lar I've done that once before. All that does is puts a redish box above the timeline stating where you migrated to and will then give you a hyperlink to then remote follow to there. It doesn't do anything else. A temp solution at best.
