https://twitter.com/Gaikwadshogun/status/1193052765099974656?s=09SC: *The majority of the land has been handed over to Hindu side and just 5 acres to the Muslim side.*Indian liberals: *This is a balanced judgement. Please accept it and move on. Viva Indian democracy!*This is why you can't trust liberals. Also, Congress: Supreme Court's verdict has come, we are in favour of the construction of Ram Temple.

@larissaf Congress has been consistently doing soft Hindutva politics for some time. So it wasn't surprising for them to say this. This same congress was name calling VBA and AIMIM for being the B team of BJP. They are the biggest hypocrites today.

@larissaf When it comes to screwing over Dalits and Muslims, all the mainstream parties are together. This is nothing new. The question is the scary one, "What is the alternative? And are we committed to growing one?" @gaikwadshogun

@Dasbolshevik @larissaf The only alternative to defeat the Hindu right that i see is the principled alliance of Left + Bahujan parties. Both seem pretty unprincipled. Thus far, only VBA makes sense to me. Rest are busy with UC politics.

@larissaf @gaikwadshogun @saileena @rupagulab @ranjona @Deepsealioness you need an ideology that is fundamentally against Casteism and Fascism and Religious fundamentalism. For me that is Communism. VBA has a long way to go to become a force to reckon with. However, I also do not believe the Indian working class believes in breaking its chains just yet either.

@Dasbolshevik @larissaf @gaikwadshogun @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness But what form of communism. No major global communist government creates confidence. The Bengal example had many deep and serious flaws. The slip between the cup and the lip is huge. Social justice goals seem to lead to totalitarianism, sadly.

@Dasbolshevik @larissaf @gaikwadshogun @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness In principle communism should work. But it does not account enough for human greed and hunger for power.

@ranjona @larissaf @gaikwadshogun @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness if it didn't work before then make it better is the basic tenet of Communism. Kerala is a great example if Bengal is bad. Tripura another. But that's the other side of it. We've all been spending time complaining about existing Communism and not looking at making it better. Meanwhile, fascists provided the opium the masses needed.

@Dasbolshevik @ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness The problem with class-exclusive analysis of indian society is that one doesn't factor in the caste intricacies. In the indian society, the non UCs have systemically deprived the DBAs of attaining education and jobs and therefore attaining wealth. Looking at Indian society only as rich, middle and poor class is very misleading. We must understand why the poor are poor. History tells us that it's because of caste.

@Dasbolshevik @ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness It is the minority of Brahmin Banias and other powerful UCs that have hoarded wealth for millennia. We must talk about countering this caste supremacy. Any other treatment to this issue wouldn't be a structural change. We need to address the root cause. That's why im convinced that the existing communist parties aren't enough. We need Ambedkarism, Bahujanism as well as Socialism as guiding principles.

@Dasbolshevik @ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness Almost all current Left parties are UC dominated. Even in Communist Kerala, there is rampant caste discrimination. Why? Because the issue of caste isn't addressed. We also know about Marichjhapi dalit massacre in CPI(M) WB. Same reason. There is no political autonomy, neither is there representation to DBAs, only tokenism. We need intersectionality in our politics. Only ideology isn't enough, representation is imp

@gaikwadshogun In Kerala, Communists are not UC anymore. They are avarnas and Bahujans. CPI also has a Dalit Leader now in D Raja. This is not to even mention the numbers at the cadre level. Its simple....deliver on the ground instead of giving rhetoric, the working masses will listen to you when you speak.@ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness

@Dasbolshevik @ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness If that's true, then good. But the point remains, because we need the top brass of the party, the politburo members to be as diverse as possible. According to a few people who i talked to, UC overrepresentation is an issue and they're working hard to address it. It has been 100 years since CPI started and the fact that people at the top remain UC dominated tells a lot about the party.

@gaikwadshogun D Raja is from CPI. At the risk of sounding like i am brushing this issue aside, I believe that Ambedkarites also have to understand that once anyone goes Communist, he is a Caste and Class traitor if from the privileged lot. And from Kerala's example, even UCs delivered on Marxist principles. It is in the North things go wrong badly.@ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness

@Dasbolshevik @ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness Absolutely. South is anyways better than the North in many ways. Especially Kerala. Kerala and TN come at the top in many socio-economic indices. But still, caste discrimination is something thats ubiquitous in india. Manual scavenging and untouchability happens daily. In conclusion, i do think, many there's a huge scope for improvement. How DMK defeated BJP in TN also needs to be analysed.

@gaikwadshogun @ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness That old theory has mostly been dumped now. Most CPs now accept that india never got out of feudalism so you have to fight class and caste both at the same time. Which is actually what Mao did in China. But he had the luxury of Revolution. In India... to make people understand using bourgeois parliamentary systems is ruining things.

@Dasbolshevik @ranjona @larissaf @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness I agree! But there are issues with all these parties, we need to address all of the issues for the sake of our goal of defeating Fascism and Brahminism. And again, i hate that we're trapped in the current Hindu vs Hindutva binary. We as a principled opposition need to defeat these religio-fascist forces head on. Sadly, even some CPs are defending religion because of this binary.

@ravichso @Dasbolshevik @larissaf @gaikwadshogun @saileena @rupagulab @Deepsealioness For me, what we have lost with the shrinking of the Left in our political space is the conscience of India. It is an irreparable loss, the effects of which we see today.
