On the day of the Ayodhya judgment, which will become a validation of the people/party who incited violence in its wake in Bombay in 1993- is also the day we see the same party battling BJP/RSS to form the government in Maharashtra, have its own CM. For the first time. As a direct result of their incitement they rose to prominence in 1993. Today that party, which won this headlock and will have its first CM, also got its validation from the Supreme Court Of India.

And in a a bizarre case of a Stockholm Syndrome, I am rooting for that evil party to form the government. Because it’s fighting an even bigger evil. A party that’s changing the nature of India, versus the party that changed the nature of Bombay.

The party that will beat up young lovers on Valentine’s Day, and push non-Marathis out of jobs in Maharashtra, versus the party that promotes people cheering lynching of minorities who record it for posterity, and gives and takes away *citizenship* based on their hate. But it’s a bullet we bite, I suppose

@RateUnrate It's sad that in the name of democracy, we have been reduced to such choices. That sometimes we have to support murders in order to fight a bigger murderer. I wonder what the victims of 93 riots, or even someone like Justice Srikrishna will think.
