So. #Google buys #Fitbit. Billions of fitness data points including a lot of location/tracking info on your runs and trainings. Do you feel good about it?

@jwildeboer Neutral, but the prospect of buying my own goes from a soft 'naw' to a hard red.See, I'm the enby writing down hir distance/rep logs on physical wood-and-bleach paper, and it's really none of their business. And let's be honest here. Give it a couple years and it'll get slowed to a crawl by no end of "helpful suggestions" regarding routine, routes, comparisons, etc when you already know what you want and don't need any of that shit.

@jwildeboer this is something you have to be content with if you decide to use a service where your data is not in your control which is basically any popular sporttracker these days.

@sesivany the only exception I see at the moment is an Apple Watch.

@jwildeboer not at all. The only way to prevent that is to truly be in control of your data. With Apple you're ultimately not. No matter what their proclamations are. You never know what their policy will be in the future or even now you could accidentally find out they sell your data just like Apple Music users did some time ago.
