       @replikvlt @dctewi why avoid namespace pollution to turn around and do this? Though I don't even agree with the professor banning "using namespace std" directive. If it reduces verbosity and keeps your code D.R.Y without conflict in names then the directive is a good call.

       @march @replikvlt I use `using namespace std;` and `bits/stdc++.h` every time when I'm solving the algorithm problem in a single file at icpc practice.However, i'm told to avoid it in "project programming". :bunhdthink:

       @dctewi @replikvlt lots of bad advice gets thrown around even by people who should know better. I'm sure you know that already but I just wanna emphasize that this is one of those things.
