The Gab Report was a fun project. Using Dissenter's data about the web, we were able to construct a compelling Drudge-a-like that updates in real-time and even updates on the weekends if you're out there voting and commenting on things. The Gab Report works behind the scenes by asking Dissenter a lot of questions and then remembering the answers for a while. Each column is sorted by the Dissenter Score of each URL in the column. The Gab Report is not limited to news sites. It processes the whole web as far as Dissenter can see it. Yes, you can absolutely trend your browser's New Tab on The Gab Report if the world agrees with you and helps.Dissenter Score is computed as for each URL in real-time:upvotes + comment count - downvotesThe average max age of a thing you'll see is 4 hours. I will be adding a display per column letting you know the configured maximum age of a thing that can appear in that column.- - -The first 3 columns are determined by custom logic built for this project to be as whole-web as possible. They are considering Dissenter's data over all domains and URLs for the past 24 and 4 hours. There is a Top Videos column, and you'll be able to set whether it considers YouTube or BitChute. This is why Dissenter got some updates over the past few days. We were pushing new services to feed The Gab Report. This is all controlled by you and how you vote/comment on the things you see online. The Gab Report is a snapshot of the things that mean to most to the Gab community when you looked at it. And, chances are very high the next time you look it will be different. As relevance moves around the Web, the Report will follow. It's automatic.- - -At the very top of the page are some dynamic elements Gab will use when there is serious or breaking news. These are controlled manually, and any time you see a top link or the page headline someone at Gab manually entered that headline for display. Top headlines decay and vanish after 4 hours. They can also be manually deleted.Column content is not manually controlled by Gab. If a thing trends? It's a trend. It'll live for up to 24 hours on the page. We _can_ remove content and will if it is illegal or violates Gab's content guidelines.Empty columns remove themselves from the page. This is why you will see things appear and disappear throughout the day. When there just isn't any activity for a column, it is removed.- - -We are actively suppressing Twitter and are suppressing YouTube outside of the Top Videos column. Those services aren't playing well with Dissenter (on purpose) and take active measures to suppress our ability to catalog their content. You won't see things from Twitter or YouTube trend at the Report until further notice. You absolutely will see content from BitChute and other sites. We are only actively suppressing Twitter and YouTube at this time and it's for technical reasons.- - -https://trends.gab.com/

@robcolbert Regarding YouTube, you guys could always consider embedding those from your own Invidious instance. However, this may be tricky as seen like with the @Poalco Invidious instance, Google has been IP-banning Invidious instances lately.

@robcolbert Funny thing about this - the only people using Dissenter are absolute mongs so maybe there is no spicy content to suppress...
