       one of my favourite examples of how to do humor in games from Serious Sam:You enter a short hallway with a single +1HP item just next to the entrance. Pick it up, another one appears two steps down the hall. You see how this works, start running down the hall hoovering up the powerups, and after 9 or 10 it pops a monster in your face instead.

       Later on in the game, you come to the exact same setup - short hallway, single +1HP item. You see what's going on, ready a close-range weapon, and charge down the hallway.Except this time, it spawns the monster BEHIND you.
