@sir "Microsoft has been working on it for a long time, and it really has come around. Their work with cortana and telemetry is breathtaking. Its all around good software which requires little maintenance, their use of dynamically linking libraries is innovative and secure. As well Microsoft <3 Linux, so they have to be good, right?"

@charims @sir The only thing Microsoft didn't have yet was the occasional complete breakage when running an upgrade that sometimes happens in Arch Linux, luckily they added that feature in Windows 10.

@martijnbraam @sir Funny thing, I have 3 arch installs running for over a year. No major breakages yet. But I don't run super complex software suites like gnome, so maybe that's why.

@sir @martijnbraam Oooo. That sounds fun to clean up... 'make uninstall' and then reinstall the affected packages?

@charims @martijnbraam nope, I installed it for a reason and I intend to keep it there until the next package update tramples over it, at which point I will rinse and repeat and probably make things worse
