@Debradelai Another rich SA country working hard to destroy itself by Marxism. Coffee, Oil, roses, and wool are major exports. You can't even but coffee beans locally because they are all shipped out. Everyone there drinks instant.

@Debradelai I saw plenty of wealth there - for some. Extremely fertile land, industrious people, but massively apartheid laws. If I remember right - it was 2006 - the Quichuwa (sp?) and other natives were not even human under the law until 1964.

@Debradelai I've not had as much experience overseas as people I would consider to 'experts', but I have seen some true shitholes, among them RioHacha and San Andres Island in Colombia, and Trujillo Honduras. Two visits to Venezuela were almost as bad. By comparison, Quito and RioBamba were far more civilized - and far ahead resource-wise. Just my own observations.

@SteveInSC Superficial as they are.Nice if you to compare Ecuador's best with Colombia's worst.I stand by my assessment.Quito was never better that a fourth rate village, and a couple of buildings on Brickell Avenue in Miami have a larger GDP and four times the wealth of that shithole. But thank you for your thoughts.
