The funniest shit with crazy Irish women like Cathy (or Sinead LOL!) is that they keep their crosses near, if they're in need to be saved from a demon with the holy water at hand. No need to generalise Irish women based off people like Cathy Brennan, or Sinead O'C to be fair.Anyway- is she even Irish? She's based in Baltimore MD. Unless she was born here, she is not Irish, she is Irish American. And nobody in Ireland has much time for that kinda plastic paddywhackery. Internationally? Gosh I don't know if there's an answer to that question, but possibly Saoirse Ronan. Aislinn Bea is just about to become international since she is starring in a movie with Paul Rudd, but she has long been a household name in irish and UK comedy fandom. Similarly, Aisling Horgan is known internationally for writing and starring along with Rob Delaney on series 'catastrophe'. Maeve Binchy is still a bestselling author post death. Mary Robinson's name still holds sway among political and human rights circles. Dolores O'Riordan of the Cranberries got a pretty big international tribute when she died a couple of years ago.
