You've experienced Tremors, but don't touch the ground just yet, because you've got to be careful of the Aftershocks. RT @Rory__Walker@twitter.comI'm not spooked right now, but I'm sure I will be if I turn off my monitors, and it's still too dark out to go to sleep. So I think I'm going to watch a movie or something.Might make some popcorn first.🐦🔗: https://twitter.com/Rory__Walker/status/1182230851947507713

I watched a "ten facts you didn't know about Tremors" Youtube video and they called Tremors a B movie and while I admittedly don't know what makes a B movie, it had amazing special effects, was well directed and concisely written, and also three of the stars were big names.

Reba and Kevin Bacon were at the height of their careers, and Michael Gross had just got done shooting the finale for Family Ties. Fred Ward wasn't exactly an unknown either. Also the little girl went on to be in Jurassic Park.

Right away we're presented with the rules of the movie:The Floor is Now Lava: Extreme Edition.Although, like... he's making a ton of noise and those aren't really stable. He probably could have just legged it.Either way, he fell and got eaten. Looks like a new puppet design.

Burt, sans Valentine, is still in Perfection, and trying to wrangle a stallion conveniently off screen that he wants to breed. He lassos it, and gets dragged off, and then the camera pans up to reveal it's not a horse, it's an ostrich!

Anyway, they basically jump right into it.Mexican dude in a suit wants to hire some graboid hunters. Val wasn't willing to do it because he's now happily married and Sir Not Appearing In This Film.$50,000 per Graboid. But Earl doesn't want to die. Also I called him Burt.

Earl and Val got a Reebok sponsorship. Grady Hoover, the slick looking kid, is their biggest fan.But he didn't make money off of that video game. Which seems to be convincing him. Also, he's got a nudey pic hanging on the wall.

The set up for why he agrees to go graboid hunting is basically because he wasted all his money from the first movie on ostriches. Also the kid who drives a taxi wants to tag along because he's star struck.

Twelve minutes in and the heroes are already at the place with the monster. Also there's already tension in the buddy cop routine when the kid doesn't understand the whole rock paper scissors thing on the ride up there. No one can fill the Val shaped hole, clearly.

I'd forgotten that despite getting the coveted "and" billing, Burt is brought in as a sort of "we need a bigger gun" character".Also, they're encouraged to bring one in alive. And there's a new sexy scientist. Also a geologist.Shouldn't they get a zoologist against these?

And now we get our antagonist worm.(The song is Travis Tritt's T-R-O-U-B-L-E, which can apparently be heard a mile away from underground)Also, it's smart enough to drag the chain attached to the truck to get the attention of graboids.
