someone please tell me how it's 2019 and people still haven't figured out that having either no numpad, or the numpad on the left should be standardypgdxetvy1n31.jpg

like 10 years ago I had a Microsoft Sidewinder X6 keyboard. It had a magnetic numpad that you could put on whichever side you preferred.10 fucking years ago and we still haven't made this kind of stuff standarddims.jpg

@camellirite Ergonomics.Numpad on the right is a terrible design decision that should've been fixed ages ago. But we've kind of been stuck with it.Your keyboard should have home row centered right in front of you. Which leaves the numpad jutting far out to the right. Your mouse should then rest naturally in front of your right arm.Which is impossible because the numpad is there. Or at least blocks part of it.So either you end up with a home row that's off-center, or a mouse that's too far to the right.Having a keyboard without a numpad, or with the numpad on the left, solves this. Of course, numpad on the right is fine if you're a leftie

@lanodan Well yes. I am a lefty myself.Although I still use my mouse with the right, because I find ambidextrous mice terrible to hold, and the selection of non-ambidextrous mice for lefies sucks.

@quad I'm usually okay with ambidextrous mouses, the only thing I want is that they should more or less fill my hand nicely.Currently using a lenovo mouse and well, the only thing that sucks is the design (you can't really casually lift it) and the cable is too rigid.

@lanodan I mean they're fine, I use a Sensei 310 now because it was on a black friday sale in 2018. But I've tried the Rival 310 and would've definitely preferred it, but it wasn't on sale.I don't find ambidextrous mice to be terrible as much as I just find regular mice to be better.

@quad I really hate it when it's on the right side because then my mouse gets in a very annoying location
