Feeling somewhat conflicted over (TRA) Katy Montgomerie’s abuse claims (and yes I realise this will probably get me called all manner of things) but GC feminists (and male allies) are currently falling over themselves to condemn what they allege happened despite Katy implying that each and every one of them is partly responsible. This ‘kindness’ and respect simply isn’t returned! I do not recall Katy speaking out and condemning the hammering on windows etc at Brighton’s WPUK meeting the other day.

And I feel really uncomfortable seeing “male allies” join in the condemnation of the feminist accounts that point out what I have. It just seems to prove the whole men will always support men doing whatever they like. I don’t want anyone actively abused/assaulted etc but the double standards are just making me incredibly uncomfortable. It’s like apologising to your abuser.

@Ladyfat I completely agree. I might be cynical, but I just can’t bring myself to give a damn. It seems to be massively attention seeking and in between all his tweets about being scared and stressed are tweets about GC feminists. Fuck him.

@LangCleg @Ladyfat What I find most irritating is that if a woman posted that exact same thread “we got on a bus, men made comments about our looks and we were really scared.” No one would care. No one would even comment. People would roll their eyes and keep scrolling. But he posts it and cue the fawning: he’s a victim of transphobia and omg poor him, blah blah blah. Feck off. If you don’t want to be scared on a bus, don’t get on one with one other person. Safety in numbers, especially at night. A real woman knows this shit but I guess he didn’t get the memo. 🙄

It should be obvious, but nothing is any more. People have lost their ability to think reasonably, never mind critically. Also, TRAs who support catcalling don't seem to understand that it's street harassment, just the same as being called things that are not 'compliments' or things that are overtly cruel.
