There's this meme about most used/loved/hated programming languages making the rounds, and honestly I believe we collectively fetishise our tools too much and it's a problem.Instead I thought I'd write a story about myself but honestly, why would anyone care for _that_.(I'm guilty of this too by the way. For example, I'm typing this while being mad at a command line shell.)Take this instead:Be kind, and accepting, and respectful, and welcoming. We've got way too many gatekeepers already. And don't be afraid to ask for help. Also, if you create something, talk to the people who would use what you create.Remember the sketch about the seven red lines?Consider that humans using our software can feel like this, _because_ of our software, and what we can do about that.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKorP55Aqvg
