@LarryFoulke well, I created this account on freespeechextremist.com because I wanted a place for talking about for more serious stuff but I probably never use it, at least not right now cause I've been very busy lately.regarding the whole Fediverse network, it's a diverse network with less stupid people that twitter(in my opinion), but it has more potential to be a tribalistic community because administrators can easily block communities they don't agree with instead of talking to them and so on, at least I'm less concerned about my data and stuff, that is what I think of Fediverse.

@Shooked Yeah I could see the tribalism thing happening, one counter to it could be to make a bunch of socks on other instances but people are lazy and those could get banned... Even then if an instance admin really wants to block a community then do you really want to be a part of his instance? You could always just move, or make a new instance for people who don't like the ban wall. that would be a massive hoop to jump though but it would be possible, that's the beauty of decentralization.Anyway hope to see you around when you're less busy buddy.

I wouldn't hold my breath, though.Mainly because that's the contradiction of enforcing subjectivism and ideological purity at the same time. You need to use force to ensure ideological purity but at the same time subjectivism requires those ideological principles to be allowed to change at any time for any reason ("we were always at war with Eurasia") which means the now new "infidels" to be either "purged" or ex-communed. It's an infinite dog-chase-tail situation.
