Are there wired active noise cancelling headphones on par with the QC and Sony MX?

@aag Audio Technica QuietPoint.Excellent noise cancellation quality, much, much better than Sony IMHO.Better musical quality than Bose, also IMHO. Nice dynamic range. Can be used like normal headphones if you are out of a battery.Yes, I am a satisfied customer, why do you ask?

@aag I have two:Audio Technica ATH-ANC7b (oldest)Audio Technica ATH-ANC9Both are wired. The ANC9 comes with a microphone wire standard. Perfect for conference calls in a busy open space. The ANC9 also has several noise cancelling mode, while the older model only had one.

@aag The criticisms I have is that the ear foam Audio Technica uses break after a while, and you need to replace it (and the replacement is expensive). This being said, I have had them for a while and only had to do that change once. Also, they tend to grip your ear fairly well (noise cancellation, obv) and that can be a little bit painful after a while, especially if you wear glasses like me. On the other hand, I have *very* sensitive ears, so take this with a grain of salt.
