       Its suddenly occurred to me how ive been tripping over backwards for years to try and always call linux by stallman's preferred gnu/linux monicker but he wont use 'they' as someone's preferred pronoun.That's fucked up when you think about it.

       @wizzwizz4 @trashHeap For every single block I get, I make it public, as large amounts of weirdos and funny-people block me. In this case, I know the cause. it was because of my comment in a thread about pronouns/GNU+Linux terminology. Usually, however, incredibly strange people are constantly blocking me which is why I began to expose it. I am not posting behind his back. I just find these blocks funny when I usually only block an individual if it is spam or someone truly bad.

       @mavica Yeah, RMS wrote it in the source and I quoted from that.I like to use `they` in English. In German talking about someone with indefinite gender is not as easy since the plural-version matches the female singular.

       @ultem How is that "most important"?A) You can't hurt grammar's feelings, but you can hurt people.B) Singular "they" has been documented back to before and including Shakespeare and Middle English grammar. Is the exact same process that "you" became singular (to replace dumb formality-based alternatives no one needed).@trashHeap
