@ocean yah but [hot take] i think the playstation controllers are better. but like with the n64 vs ps1 there are twice as many controller ports for the gamecube. the ps2 could play dvds though, while the gcn could not. gcn had smash bros melee and was easier to travel with. playstation had different games (like devil may cry which was hella fun) and later came out with the slim version of the console. i just see two winners. i can't help it.

@ocean I'd say the PS2 was quite overratedI recently checked the NA games release list and TBH? The library isn't super hot nowadaysEven in the JRPG categories, we have a lot more of Tri-Ace level garbo than the PS1 gotAlso having overall the worst version of a lot of multiplat games. A friend of mine had the terrible idea of buying Shadow the Hedgehog, but on top of that he got it on PS2. 1 min load time per retry, instant lag and the likes, yikes

@proxeus Tbh I think all consoles in this one are goodThe PS2 was obviously sony's best console they ever did, the gamecube was a great era for Nintendo and they put out a lot of classics on it, the Xbox was the first in a series of consoles and it really hit it out of the park with features the rivals wouldn't have for years (And some features they still don't have) not to mention the specc, and the Dreamcast had a very short lifespan but it had such an iconic early lineup that it still remains culturally significant to this day. @ocean The Xbox really deserves some more love imo~It was the only one of these consoles that had the best game of the generation! Morrowind! And Halo 2 and Ninja Gaiden Black were good as heccAnd the speccs it had were nice too!YOU GUYS MISSED OUT
