@GargronSounds good, certainly no need to be embarrassed! I listen to quite a bit of acoustic guitar, being a player, and I enjoyed your recording. I see the progress through the track on my laptop web browser but no graphic on my android app (fedilab). Is that the expected behaviour?

@Gargron @healyn I specifically am referencing: ffmpeg re-encode makes some things viewable in some places and not others, but also makes somethings not uploadable and not others... The user experience is: Can't upload it 50x error (quite a few possible 500 based errors depending on circumstance).Can't see certain things (play button that does nothing, play with a slash through it in iphones, or other 50x errors) again depending on circumstance.Both depending on circumstance.Mostly surrounding gifs/video (I say mostly because I really haven't looked further into it, disabled ffmpeg some time ago and now just get the occasional animated gif that wont upload, but no issues viewing for the most part) which is more important than the occasional gif that wont upload.

@healyn @Gargron I would say webkit, I'm not 100% chrome specifically, but webkit is the inly place I have encountered anything goofy like that (obviously chrome is at least... losely based on webkit). ;) I haven't been able to track it further cause I have had more important things on my mind.

@Gargron @healyn I'll add probably not seeing much of it because ffmpeg is not actually a standard thing thats installed on many cloud resources tgat a rolled from base minimal (anything centos for example) so you would only see it under very specific circumstances, again... Which is why several of the bugs that have been logged aren't tied together, most don't realize it all comes back to the ffmpeg re-encode cause why would they if they don't actually have it (last I checked it doesn't make you install it on any platform).(There are at least 3 I know of going back over a year, probably more...)

@unklebonehead If @Tusky still doesn't support audio uploads that's quite regrettable as they have been a feature for a couple releases now, but you wouldn't see the new audio player for the web interface outside of the web interface, anyway.
