       @strikersan @xahlee Thumbs ball are not ergonomic and therefore dangerous (the ball in the middle would be fine).I only have french papers on this but there is probably an equivalent in english.(the right field to get answers to theses questions is Biomechanics by the way)PS: Sorry for my first post around here to be negative, I'm thrilled to have found you @xahlee on mastodon

       @perspicaces @strikersan yes, i agree mid finger based trackballs are ergonomically better.But i like to also point out, it doesn't mean thumb trackball is absolutely no good. For casual use, or use with care, it can be ok.e.g. like some people use normal pc keyboard even it's bad ergonomically. Depends hour of use per day and if used with care. :)thanks for follow.
