I dont support Universal Healthcare but I do support opt-in co-op based heathcare. But other than that this meme is pretty accurate. I do support tax-paid education.#meme #uspol

@youknowitstrue What student do you know in a black community that went to university for 12 years and cant read?No university should force feed an LGBT agenda, but it should be honest and fair about LBGT issues. But I also feel that if a student wants to join a specific college or university because of their LGBT programs they should have that option too. Ultimately that should be left up to the students and have no idea why its even worth a point on this list. I wouldnt support an elderly person's tax being lowered. I see no reason for that. If tax is based on income as it already is then someone who is elderly with no income would naturally have lower taxes. This seems ok to me (though I do think ALL taxes should be lowered)I agree that feeding students and the young is better done through other specialized programs than through school. But since those programs are largely a failure I dont mind schools picking up the slack until we fix our welfare system to ensure people are better fed.

@youknowitstrue Actually I already do, lol. I spent a **lot** of money feeding those who are hungry already. I also make food myself and go around handing it out. No not only do a lot of us want to give our own money, we already do.

@youknowitstrue No, I support taking from people in this case because it generates more money then it costs. In that sense I dont support taking from anyone but rather fixing a broken system and giving back.

@youknowitstrue No I dont usually give to organizations (sometimes but only if I know the people involved). Most of the money I give is direct, not to mention the food I give.I give well into the 6 digit range every year.

@youknowitstrue Easy to fool yourself into thinking the world is a certain way when you just assume everything that disagrees with that world view is a lie.

@youknowitstrue I do get write offs for what I give, certainly. But its clear you dont know how write-offs works. If you give a write off that isnt free money it just means you dont pay tax on the income for that amount. So if i make 300,000$ every year and give away 100,000$ then i might save 10,000$ in taxes (to make up a random number) but that is FAR less than the money i had to spend (100,000$) to get that write off. As such donations, even as a write off, doesnt save anyone money. It just means I have more money to donate since the money I donate isnt taxed.

@youknowitstrue It is clear you feel strongly that you **think** you know that, and many things. Sadly to those of us more informed it is obvious that you are incorrect.

@youknowitstrue Yes informed. Obviously I am **far** more informed as to whether I am lying about how much money I give than you are. So naturally if your going to sit here like some child having a temper tantrum swinging around insults at people who don't agree with you, and calling people liars when they are not... well people like me who are informed enough to know what your saying has no basis in reality are going to look at you and think "well if this guy acts this way about something like this when he is wrong he probably is wrong about a lot of things, and probably acts much the same way, childish".

@whirli I live in the Netherlands and the USA (I have homes in both). I have used the healthcare from various countries at various times. In my experience all healthcare is an absolute failure. The netherlands has some of the shortest wait times in all socialized health care and despite this the waits are still atrocious even when someone is in agonizing pain (as I was).I've also seen america move from non-universal to universal healthcare (admittedly an exceptionally shitty implementation of it). The quality of healthcare plummeted as a result (which is why I had to flee the country partly). As I recognized existing systems are failures I looked as to why. The capitalist system of a completely free market fails because supply and demand doesnt work with health. A person will give up every material pocession they own for a 1% chance at living 1 more day. The demand is infinite and in such a system free market demands simply don't work as they might normally in other markets. So I can recognize free market isnt a solution.Similarly irecognize single-payer form of universal healthcare fails for a similar reason. You can't fix the supply and demand problem by eliminating the supply side. This prevents the natural competition and selection of alternatives that cause a system to naturally improve over time.So to me the solution is co-op because it gives us both sides of the problem in one. On the one side it ensures a free-market pressure as people still buy into the insurance they choose and can pick and choose what options they want. It also fixes the infinite demand problem by eliminating profit. In a co-op the people who buy the insurance are also the owners of the company. So they make any profit out of the system. So there is no exploitation based on greed.Solves all the issues.@youknowitstrue

@youknowitstrue Well I give 6 figures in charity each year. Yes I do in fact see the world a certain way, the way i see it is not what you think though its a world where "I give 6 figures to charity causes each year". Something you claim to be a lie and which I am far more informed to know if it is true or not than you. Thats the point.I am not holding the views about how the world works against you. While they are clearly based on ignorance they arent the main issue. I'm more concerned with how childishly you behave in engaging in discourse.

@freemo @whirli @youknowitstrue It's unpleasant to think about, but triage is based on their estimate of how likely you are to die. Pain is less of a concern for them. From personal experience: you run in with a baby with a head wound, and they're pretty quick.

@Bandersnatch Indeed byt my criticism is not how they prioritize but rather the fact that the system is too broken to have the resources needed to treat the volume of people they need to in an effective manner.@whirli @youknowitstrue
